This is an issue that must not be approached lightly. Regrettably it is true that no matter how much effort is made in trying to bring certain individuals to toe the party line, they will continue to backslide, or act foolishly. I am not refering here to the dreadful Public / DuPres nonsense, which the pair lost a great deal of standing because of, rather I refer to base treachery and stupidity.

Ultimately there will be times and individuals whose value to the Directorate has come to an end. While it is understandable that there will be some doubt as to the correct course of action, no one actually likes to take these decisions, it is vital that the deed is done. If it isn't, then rest assured that another member of Camarilla society will do so, leaving a vendetta to be pursued, or in some cases, the Ventrue in question will continue to embarrass the Directorate.

One rule that is important to observe here is that the Directorate is responsible for the action of Destruction, it some cases it is advisable to ask permission from the Prince, but obviously this is not always viable. While I am not advocating that we continually breech the Tradition of Destruction, it is necessary in some situations.

Advice here. When it is done, have the memory of the deed removed from all responsible, by the youngest Ventrue capable of the deed. Hopefully that should destroy the trail of evidence. The united front of the Clan should do the rest. If caught, Pull rank, make it clear that the entire Directorate is responsible and has no intention of submitting quietly to the Death Penalty and MEAN IT.
